Microbial Remediation
Microbiological & Chemical Remediation Cleaning Services
Omega uses advanced remediation/cleaning technologies and works with its strategic partners to facilitate remediation and cleaning operations.
Omega’s strategic partners are leaders in business continuity and disaster recovery services for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Through these strategic partners a staff numbering over 600 is available throughout the Western US. Omega provides the following services:
Microbiological
Omega’s team has significant experience in the microbiological decontamination of equipment, facilities, buildings and external environments.
The Company’s broad-based experience addresses major problems facing Health Care Facilities, Research Centers, and other institutions that would have the potential for microbiological contamination. For example, Omega ’s experience includes the design of decontamination systems for renal dialyses equipment and surgical vacuum systems. Additionally, the Omega team designs the decontamination methodologies for pharmaceutical plants and drug repackaging facilities. These projects involved equipment breakdown, cleaning and disinfection using chemicals and sanitizing gases. The team is also experienced in viral disease outbreak interventions in the entertainment and health care industries, both of which have been impacted by significant business interruptions. Other projects have included sanitizing and introducing quality control systems for water bottling plants, food packing and storage facilities and large food production facilities.
Omega can also design, and if desired, execute ongoing microbiological sanitizing services under general service agreements.
Chemical
For some incidents such as fire, flooding, tornadoes, earthquakes, chemical spills, etc, the possibility of chemical contamination on food items, equipment, facilities, and buildings as well as the outside environment, is high. Omega is experienced in assessing the type and degree of chemical contamination present, establishing a perimeter to conduct site inspections, source sample collections, and controlling the site to establish a safe and workable remediation program. This is particularly important because rarely is the benchmark standard well defined requiring Omega to initiate the risk assessment and determine the satisfactory standards.
Deep Cleaning
In many cases, after a site assessment, the program manager determines that a deep cleaning of the facility and/or the design of a cleaning regimen is adequate to meet the client’s regulatory needs and internal quality control goals. Omega can design this protocol to achieve both quality control requirements as well as assist in overall risk reductions from subsequent microbiological contaminations that may affect the company’s liability and product reputation. Omega can also establish contracts for our trained and experienced work force to deep clean a facility on a recurring basis. The use of Omega technologies results in more effective cleaning as well as reduced employee risk and equipment damage than the alternative treatments associated with caustic cleaning and sanitizing chemicals.
