Each new development project requires identification of the impact to the surrounding environment and groundwater, or there could be costly delays.
If you would like to provide environmental site assessment, site investigations and remediation project management but do not have the time or the interest to carry staff with this expertise, we can help. We can provide these services as an extension of your team, working under your company name.
Our team has provided ancillary support services to engineering firms for clients including Kimley Horn, Langan Engineering and ERM for over 20 years. We are well versed in all state (California and beyond) and federal environmental laws and policies, and we will help ensure your clients are in compliance. Specific services have included providing asbestos and lead assessments, hazardous building materials assessments, site safety officers, and hazardous materials remediation oversight and monitoring.
We’ve worked on just about every property type you can manage: class A office buildings, shopping malls, strip malls, big box retail stores, dry cleaners, theaters, hotels, universities, and more. Our management team consists of PhD toxicologists, certified industrial hygienists and certified site surveillance technicians.
What can we do for you?
Environmental Site Assessments
We evaluate the potential liability of properties through historical record searches, regulatory research, geology and hydrogeology, document reviews, interviews and site reconnaissance.
Omega has provided numerous Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Our reports are in strict compliance with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E 1527-13 standard and the US EPA “All Appropriate Inquiries,” 40 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 312, which is necessary to qualify for the Innocent Landowner Defense Safety & Laboratory Services.
Site Investigations
We characterize the extent of contamination due to underground storage tanks leaks, manufacturing processes and dry cleaning operations in surface and sub-surface media from various chemical compounds through the collection of soil, soil gas and ground water samples.
Phase II Environmental Assessments evaluate the extent of contamination from chemical compounds or metals in soil and groundwater. These assessments are conducted to characterize the extent of soil contamination for the purpose of remediation.
Remediation
We provide remedial design options/technologies and the cleanup handling and disposal of contaminated soil and groundwater.
Phase III assessments include the development of regulatory agency approved work plans, remedial action plans, feasibility studies, and the appropriate remediation system depending on the site.
