Microbiological & Chemical Decontamination Technology

Omega will provide a technology prescription for each specific project. An application of physical or chemical treatment is selected from the most current technologies available.

Omega leverages a combination of the team’s technical expertise and cutting edge technology. For example, Omega makes extensive use of vaporized hydrogen peroxide, ozone and UV light to establish a level of sanitization that is simply impossible to achieve with simple cleaning and surface based wet chemicals.

Many studies have shown that use of mop and wet chemicals alone has limited disinfection capabilities. Omega’s targeted use of gases and vapors with computer controlled dosing and degassing sequencing adds a whole new dimension to disinfection, sanitation, and sterilization. We also use saturated steam to clean surfaces where chemical processes are either not cost effective or may cause employee or equipment damage.

Decontamination is a continuum, which may require an escalation of technologies based on the unique situation you may be facing. For example, in many cases, the use of wet chemicals may be perfectly adequate for the task at hand. In these cases Omega can prescribe the proper types of chemicals and methods of application. Other situations, however may require more aggressive treatments requiring both gases and vapors to eradicate the microbiological decontamination. Gases, such as ozone and vaporized hydrogen peroxide are effective in achieving significantly higher kill rates of microorganisms than conventional techniques. This is due to the fact that these vapors and gases’ are able to penetrate areas not accessible by conventional techniques; once deployed and decontamination is established, these gases are removed to approved levels allowing safe re-entry into the facility within minutes of their applications. In most cases the applications of sanitizing materials of technologies requires pre-cleaning. Omega’s staff is trained to assure cost effective cleaning and sanitizing.
